About the Role:

ECS Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Client Systems Engineer to join our team in Morgantown, WV. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) by providing technical inputs and ensuring alignment with other program plans.
  • Scope and define technical efforts by identifying system engineering constraints and risks, and dividing program scope and objectives into discrete elements.
  • Utilize human factors methodologies to design user interfaces, desktop layouts, and GUI interactions, including workflows.
  • Conduct system engineering activities to assess and execute approaches for system evolution, including establishing technical plans, identifying measures and metrics, and documenting system dependencies.
  • Update and maintain the system Department of Energy integrated architecture, including DOE architectures, reuse and augmentation of existing architecture data, and configuration control of architectural artifacts.
  • Provide input to the Information Support Plan (ISP) and provide DOE artifacts.
  • Document the design of critical links in the DOE architecture model formats, including synchronization of architectural artifacts.

Daily Activities:

  • Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Perform complex risk analyses, including risk assessment.
  • Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based on user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Support customers in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
  • Apply knowledge to government and commercial common user systems, as well as dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
  • Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field, and four years of related work experience, and one or more related expert-level certifications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field, and six years of related work experience, and one or more related expert-level certifications.
  • Ten years of related work experience, and one or more related expert-level certifications.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Seven years of demonstrated cloud-based systems engineering experience.
  • Seven years of experience with Agile development.
  • Seven years of working with or leading teams of system engineers and/or cloud engineers with a proven track record of performance.

Desired Skills:

  • Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  • Two or more years of experience supporting US Government customers.
  • Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature.
