Key Responsibilities:
As an Aviation Security Specialist within Security Operations, you will be tasked with providing security and safeguarding air travelers, airports, and aircraft while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria (A OR B):

Experience:
A minimum of one year of full-time experience in the security sector, aviation screening, or as an X-ray technician.
BEducation:
Possession of a high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or an equivalent high school completion certificate.
Experience is credited based on a standard 40-hour workweek.Part-time experience is calculated on a proportional basis.
Volunteer experience through National Service programs is also considered valuable and contributes to the overall qualifications.
Additional Requirements:
Travel Obligations:
Candidates may be required to travel for training purposes, which could involve several weeks away from their primary duty location.
Selective Service Registration:
Verification of Selective Service registration is mandatory for male applicants born after a specified date.
Financial Responsibility:
Applicants must not have any outstanding Federal or State tax obligations or overdue child support payments.
Residency Requirement:
Applicants should have resided in the United States for a minimum of three of the last five years prior to application.
Work Schedule:
Full-time positions necessitate a commitment of 40 hours per week, which may include shift work on any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Maintaining Employment:
Successful candidates must complete all required training and pass background checks, including criminal and credit evaluations, as well as drug and alcohol screenings.
Bargaining Unit Status:
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE).
