About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Loss Prevention Lead to join our team at Dick's Sporting Goods. As a key member of our Asset Protection department, you will play a critical role in mitigating and reducing losses through the deterrence of external theft and the execution of key operational programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor customer and teammate traffic in the store for potential theft activity, ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for all customers.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports in LPMS for all recoveries, shoplifting events, and grab & go activity, providing valuable insights for future improvement.
  • De-escalate incidents involving confrontation by Athletes exhibiting concerning behavior, demonstrating exceptional conflict resolution skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with store leadership and Asset Protection team members to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies, driving business results and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in retail loss prevention, asset protection, or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
