We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. This role offers an attractive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Summary:
A Concrete Finisher plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of our concrete structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- To operate a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
- To smooth the concrete surface using hand tools or powered equipment.
- To cut joints/grooves in concrete to control cracking.
- To apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
- To monitor weather conditions affecting concrete curing.
Requirements:
- To possess good vision, stamina, hand-eye coordination, and ability to estimate size and dimensions.
- To have skill in smoothing, finishing freshly placed concrete, applying surface treatments, and restoring concrete surfaces.
- To perform tasks involving heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
- To work outdoors in dusty or dirty areas.
- To meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
