About the Job:

We are seeking a Caregiver in Mental Health to join our team at Ascension St Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. As a Caregiver, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) preceptor to provide direct care to patients with mental health needs.

About the Role:

  • Assist patient with activities of daily living and take vital signs as directed by preceptor
  • Observe patient status and responses, documenting and reporting to preceptor or other appropriate staff
  • Assist preceptor with overall assessments of patient condition and development of plan of care
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services

About the Requirements:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Successful completion of one semester of nursing clinical (preferably a med-surg clinical) with a grade of C or above required
  • Work Experience: CNA/PCA experience preferred

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience
