Emergency Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Emergency Care Nurse Specialist at Christus Health. This is a full-time position that requires one year of experience in nursing and a current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License.
Responsibilities- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans while ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide routine and complex care, utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practices to address the psychological, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and continuously strive for quality improvement in patient care.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- One year experience in nursing preferred.
- Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS required at time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain ACLS by the end of the clinical orientation period.
- PALS required at time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain PALS by the end of the clinical orientation period.
- Crisis intervention training required within 12 months of hire/transfer date
- TNCC required within 6 weeks of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain TNCC within 18 months of hire/transfer date.
