Job Responsibilities
The role of the CT Imaging Specialist involves operating CT machinery to generate detailed images of patients' internal structures, aiding in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
- Positioning patients accurately for CT imaging while utilizing necessary safety measures.
- Adjusting equipment settings and monitoring both the machinery and the patient throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborating with radiologists during imaging procedures, including starting IVs and administering contrast materials when required.
- Evaluating the quality of CT images and ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Scheduling patient appointments and assisting with administrative tasks related to imaging.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, focusing on high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 18 months of experience in a healthcare environment as a CT Imaging Specialist.
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification is mandatory.
- Licensure is required in most states.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
