Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity in Springfield, MA

Soliant is partnering with a non-profit organization operating middle and high schools in Springfield, MA, to find a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Communications Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
  • Massachusetts SLP license
Responsibilities:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist in this education setting, you will:

  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Determine eligibility for speech services and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload
  • Provide reports of children's progress to parents
  • Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
