Senior Blaster

Austin Powder is seeking a highly experienced Senior Blaster to manage location assets and personnel at the customer site to meet established customer requirements in support of the location's strategic plan.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years certified blasting experience, be technically capable to blast any quarry or mine serviced by the location, and possess the necessary certifications, including the Austin Powder Company Blasting Certification - State Blaster's License and MSHA Safety and First Aid Certification.

The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be proficient in EBR, and have intermediate knowledge of ABS, as well as 2D Profiling, seismograph operation, and blast site security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise personnel at the customer site/blast area
• Assist in training and development of employees
• Build and sustain rapport with the current customer base to increase market share and ensure growth
• Coordinate the handling of all complaints and/or incidents of customers with appropriate personnel
• Communicate regularly with sales representative regarding customer accounts

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years certified blasting experience
• Must be 21 as required by ATF
• High school or equivalent (GED) degree
• Austin Powder Company Blasting Certification - State Blaster's License
• MSHA Safety and First Aid Certification
