A Day in the Life
As a Tax Manager/Senior Manager, your daily responsibilities may include:
- Analyzing and interpreting legal documents related to estate and business succession planning.
- Conducting technical research on estate planning and compliance issues for internal stakeholders.
- Guiding clients with varying levels of estate planning knowledge.
- Evaluating individual and estate tax situations from multiple perspectives to maximize tax benefits.
- Implementing planning strategies based on cash flow forecasts, income distribution, business succession, estate preservation, and estate plan execution.
- Building and maintaining client relationships by proactively delivering value-added solutions.
- Overseeing business development and billing activities.
- Assisting in the creation of marketing materials and leading internal and external training sessions.
- Preparing and reviewing gift, estate, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Collaborating with staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns in accordance with firm protocols.
- Providing coaching and mentorship to junior staff members.
- Partnering with the Wealth Transition Services team on various initiatives.
Who You Are
- You possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to engage effectively with clients across all income levels and present on wealth transition topics.
- You have a strong background in transfer tax and estate planning.
- Your experience may include working with flow-through entities and private foundations.
- You excel at multitasking and consistently meet deadlines.
- You have a proven track record in business development and networking.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, an active CPA license or law degree (preferred), and possess five or more years of experience in public accounting or a related field, specifically with individual clients and corporate trust companies.
Authorization to work in the United States is required, both now and in the future, without visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation philosophy is centered on providing competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly adheres to all local and state regulations regarding salary range disclosures. Final compensation is determined by factors such as geographic location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
Salary range: $93,000-$165,000.
In addition to base salary, Eide Bailly offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, extensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending accounts, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
