About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Prisma Health Richland Hospital's Orthopedics Unit. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Physician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions, including total hip and knee replacements. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive personalized attention and support throughout their stay with us.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care based on individualized plans of care as delegated by the Registered Nurse/Physician.
- Monitor and document patient status and condition, including vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values.
- Inform appropriate healthcare professionals of activities performed, observations of patients, and changes in patient status.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treat medical records as confidential.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess a completion of an LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing, one year of experience as an LPN, and be licensed to practice as an LPN in South Carolina. In lieu of one year of LPN experience, we accept successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency program from another organization.
Working Conditions:
