Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and reactions to anesthesia, taking prompt action to address any complications or concerns.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of anesthesia administered and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, providing 24/7 coverage as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Nurse Anesthetist certification (CRNA) issued by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the DEA.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the AHA needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
