Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at GA MedGroup. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care to patients, including personal grooming and hygiene, to promote a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Support patients with care such as oral, denture, and skin care, as well as assist with bathing, dressing, and bathroom activities.
  • Assist patients in and out of bed and into wheelchairs, using transfer belts to ensure safe and efficient transfers.
  • Take vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and respiration, and record information accurately.
  • Assist patients to the dining area for meals and may be required to assist with feeding and documenting intake.
  • Provide personal grooming services, including brushing hair, trimming fingernails and toenails, and shaving.
  • Turn patients intermittently if they are bedridden due to illness.
  • Document and report information regarding patients' health, I&O, any change in medical condition, and care given.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as requested.
  • Understand and utilize care plans to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Identify the four basic food groups on sample breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals.
  • Apply and release restraints and provide exercise to promote patient mobility and comfort.
  • Practice proper body mechanics while moving or transferring patients to prevent injury.
  • Provide range of motion exercises for patients to maintain flexibility and mobility.
  • Recognize and report signs/symptoms of abuse and/or change in condition.
  • Properly document information in accordance with established guidelines.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Georgia is required.
