Position Title: Senior Analyst for Insurgency and Violence

Overview:
This role is dependent on the successful award of a contract.

SOSi is in search of a highly skilled Senior Analyst for Insurgency and Violence to act as the Government's trusted consultant, providing critical analysis and leading a team of analysts within the contract scope.


Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a dedicated team of analysts.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of insurgency and violence, ensuring accurate data entry into relevant databases.

Essential Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

- A bachelor's degree in military history, political science, international relations, security studies, or a related social science field (5 years of pertinent work experience in military analysis may substitute for a degree).

- A minimum of five to ten years of relevant experience, including full performance analyst roles:
- Proven ability to research violent incidents and significant local events within the targeted region.
- Experience in sourcing information from both classified and unclassified platforms, particularly internet-based resources.
- Competence in maintaining incident tracking databases.
- Familiarity with government agency information management systems and tools, including GoogleEarth, IntelMapper, and Arc View.
- Two to five years of additional relevant experience, which includes:
- Proficient research skills on violent incidents and major events in a specific country or region, and/or expertise in insurgent and terrorist group dynamics.

- Demonstrated ability to present analytical findings using various formats such as maps, charts, graphs, and reports.

- Experience in data manipulation and updating using Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Proficient in managing and updating an Oracle-based web database system.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in researching and analyzing regional insurgencies.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community tools and gazetteers for identifying relevant locational data.
- Experience in exploiting metadata for comprehensive military analysis.
- Reading proficiency in a foreign language relevant to the country of focus.

Work Environment:
- Government Agency On-Site – office setting.
