Your role will be pivotal in advancing novel products through rigorous analytical testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of vaccines, focusing on nucleic acid analytical techniques and sequencing.
- Perform testing in both research and regulated environments to support clinical drug and vaccine candidates.
- Engage in method development, transfer, verification, and qualification for biotherapeutics and vaccines.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and implement analytical methodologies to support the process development of biotherapeutics, vaccines, and oligonucleotides.
- Utilize nucleic acid-based analytical techniques, including gel electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, nucleic acid quantitation, and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
- Maintain accurate records, archive data, and report findings in compliance with corporate guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with peers and leaders in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail while thriving in a dynamic workplace.
Qualifications:
- Must-Have: MS in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related field with over 2 years of relevant experience, or a BS in the same fields with over 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced setting and communicate effectively with project teams.
- Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adhere to established procedures with minimal supervision.
- Experience in DNA handling, extractions, and purifications.
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques, including gel electrophoresis and restriction digests.
- Experience with DNA quantitation and sizing techniques.
- Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with nucleic acid sequencing techniques and bioinformatics tools for sequencing data analysis.
- Experience with laboratory data systems such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
