Job Title: Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to work in our warehouse, assembling, cutting, and grinding metal structural parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning parts, performing layout work, tacking and welding foundations and structural members, and installing temporary fasteners to hold parts in place for welding and riveting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and fabricate metal structural parts, including plates, bulkheads, strong backs, turnbuckles, and come-alongs.
  • Perform layout work according to blueprints or reference lines.
  • Tack and weld foundations and structural members.
  • Mark locations of holes to be drilled.
  • Drive wedges and install temporary fasteners to hold parts in place for welding and riveting.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined areas.
  • Ability to access and move around the ship safely.
  • No certifications are required for this role.
