We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at Corpus Christi Medical Center. As an EMT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities- Participate in the implementation of patient care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
- Assist with patient mobility, including regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients. Assist with the use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
- Collect and process specimens for diagnostic or waived tests, ensuring accuracy of all labels and timely transfer of specimens.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
- Monitor and report patient status, including any changes or concerns.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
