Job Title: Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled and dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Irvine, California.

Job Summary:

As an Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a registered physical therapist to administer therapeutic modalities and provide patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering physical therapy modalities and treatments as prescribed by the physical therapist
  • Assisting patients with exercises and activities to promote physical therapy goals
  • Collecting and recording patient data and progress
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborating with the physical therapy team to ensure seamless patient care
Responsibilities:

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient education on general health and basic self-care procedures
  • Assisting with the use of remote monitoring equipment
  • Performing geometric measures and gross muscle testing
  • Adjusting physical therapy treatments as conditions warrant
  • Administering physical therapy modalities and treatments
  • Evaluating patient response to physical therapy
  • Recording and charting patient data
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
  • Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
