Position Summary

We are in search of an Electrical Systems Technician to enhance our team. This role involves the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems and apparatus in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical installations and repairs meet professional standards and client specifications. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn and advance in the electrical field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures in accordance with job specifications and applicable codes.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
  • Utilize testing devices, such as ohmmeters and voltmeters, to assess electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
  • Prepare diagrams or follow blueprints to ascertain the placement of wiring or equipment while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Install conduits and pull insulated wires or cables through designated pathways to complete electrical circuits.
  • Guide and mentor team members in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using various man lifts and hand/power tools, and work safely at heights exceeding 25 feet.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while representing I.C.E. Contractors.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check, with a clean driving record.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Experience operating various types of man lifts and working at different heights.
  • A genuine interest in the electrical trade.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a Technical or Trade School program in the Electrical field.
  • Experience with training at recognized electrical training centers.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 Certifications.

Additional Information

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Shift: Day Shift, with varying hours based on workload.
  • Opportunities for overtime and weekend work may be available.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
