**Job Summary:**

The Assistant Pastry Chef is a key member of the culinary team at Edina Country Club, responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in the preparation of high-quality baked goods and desserts. This role requires a strong understanding of cooking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation of all baked goods and desserts, adhering to club recipes and standards.

• Maintain the highest level of professional food quality and sanitation standards.

• Exhibit a thorough knowledge and understanding of all cooking techniques.

• Assist the Pastry Chef in completing other duties and assist other kitchen staff in plating banquet food, etc.

• Responsible for closing duties, including organizing all food items, properly storing clean containers, covering all items placed in coolers and freezers, thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all workstations, restocking of all necessary products, sweeping and mopping, etc.

**Core Competencies and Expectations:**

• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

• Fine motor skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Country club experience preferred.

• Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
