About the Position

The Telemetry Nurse plays a vital role in patient care, assuming primary responsibilities that promote health, prevent illness, restore health, and ease suffering for patients released from intensive care, but still requiring close monitoring for signs of physical distress or danger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out patient assignments and collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans for patients in the telemetry unit.
  • Monitoring the vital signs of patients in their unit, utilizing sophisticated medical equipment to track blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and cardiac electrical activity.
  • Identifying and addressing potential problems, taking quick action to treat patients who develop complications.

  • BLS certification
  • Color Vision
  • Exam Core Mandatory Part I
  • Exam Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing)
  • Exam Core Mandatory Part III
  • Medical Surgical-Telemetry
  • Preventing Medication Errors
  • RN Pharmacology
