Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Med Career Solutions. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment. Your expertise in respiratory care will enable you to assess and treat patients with a range of respiratory conditions, from acute respiratory distress to chronic respiratory diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver routine and non-routine therapies and equipment to patients, including oxygen, aerosol therapy, and ventilators.
  • Assess and reassess patients to determine the effectiveness of treatment and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Teach and instruct patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and medication management.
  • Recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients, and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • 1 year minimum of RRT experience in ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or Critical Care Unit.
  • FL State Respiratory License.
  • NBRC - RRT/CRT certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NRP - Neonate Resuscitate certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
