Behavioral Intervention Specialist

The Behavioral Interventionist (BI) plays a crucial role in supporting youth with elevated behavioral needs in their homes and communities. This part-time position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals. The BI will provide one-on-one services, develop and implement individualized behavioral plans, and collaborate with the client's professional team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct supervision and support to clients in their homes and communities.
- Develop and implement individualized behavioral plans to address client needs and goals.
- Collaborate with caregivers, family members, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client support.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and approved intervention strategies to clients and their caregivers.
- Actively engage with clients using approved trauma-informed activities and strategies.
- Document all services delivered, including shift documentation and progress notes.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development trainings to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with youth with elevated behavioral needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse populations and situations.
- Paid Time Off/Vacation accrual after 90 days.

- Hourly range $21.65-$24/hour, commensurate with degree level and experience.
