Tenure Track Research Scientist Opportunities

We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our team as Tenure Track Scientists at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. As a member of our scientific staff, you will have the opportunity to develop an independent, externally-funded research program and contribute to the Institution's mission to advance our understanding of the ocean and its interaction with the Earth system.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead an independent research program with a focus on global geochemical cycles as driven by solid-earth processes
- Conduct research that complements, diversifies, and strengthens existing programs in the Geology & Geophysics Department
- Collaborate with colleagues in other science departments, centers, and labs to advance interdisciplinary research
- Advise graduate students and teach courses through the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography and Oceanographic Engineering
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- Postdoctoral experience and a record of scientific research publications in scholarly journals
- Ability to develop an independent, externally-funded research program
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
