Key Responsibilities

  • Support patients with exercises, mobility, daily activities, and the use of assistive devices as per the treatment plan set by the Physical Therapist
  • Aid the Physical Therapist in conducting patient assessments and complex treatment protocols
  • Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding specific procedures and functional activities as instructed by the Physical Therapist
  • Engage in continuous program evaluation and enhancement
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all care provided
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and comply with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
  • Undertake additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas is required
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment and employment verifications is necessary
