Recess Supervisor

The Recess Monitor is responsible for ensuring a safe and orderly environment for students during recess and lunch. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage student behavior and respond to emergencies.

• Monitor student safety on the playground and in the cafeteria
• Manage student movement between the cafeteria, playground, and halls
• Communicate effectively with students and staff
• Report incidents and accidents to the appropriate staff member
• Provide feedback to teachers and administrators on student discipline
• Encourage student participation and cooperation
• Clean up spills and ensure clear routes for emergencies
• Assist with evacuations in case of an emergency
• Comply with all board policies, drug-free workplace rules, and administrative guidelines

The ideal candidate will be able to read and understand verbal and written directions, and use technology to support their responsibilities. A 5-day/week commitment is preferred, but we will consider subs and 2-3 day commitments.
