Molecular Biology Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Our laboratory focuses on understanding the mechanisms of dysregulated lung repair and regeneration, which contributes to lung diseases such as lung fibrosis and asthma.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in molecular, cell, or developmental biology, or a similar field, and have experience in laboratory research, including experimental design, data collection, and analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as the candidate will be working collaboratively with other researchers and independently on projects.
Key requirements for the position include:
- Proficiency in standard molecular and cellular assays, including immunofluorescence staining, flow cytometry, qPCR, and ELISA
- Experience in tissue/cell culture techniques, including organoids, air-liquid interface (ALI) culture, and precision-cut lung slices (PCLS)
- Knowledge of mouse models of lung fibrosis and asthma, including the use of lineage-tracing and conditional genetic knockouts
