Job Overview:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Work Experience:
A minimum of three years of pertinent work experience is required.
Proven success in leading teams of up to 40 individuals to achieve operational excellence and meet sales objectives.
Skills:
Outstanding supervisory and leadership abilities; capable of effectively mentoring team members on store policies, procedures, and expectations; leads by example and successfully drives team performance.
Effective problem-solving and communication skills with customers and team members.
Robust business insight with an understanding of the implications of business decisions, market dynamics, and a focus on profitability and established goals.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various business documents, professional publications, technical guidelines, or governmental regulations.Communicates clearly, positively, and persuasively while demonstrating active listening skills in diverse situations with team members, customers, business partners, and the public.
Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.Effectively presents information and addresses inquiries from groups of team members, business partners, customers, and the public.
Applies common sense and reasoning to make timely and appropriate decisions.
Familiarity with inventory management software, order processing systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and applies common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-time position averaging 45-50 hours per week.
Preparation for comprehensive management responsibilities of the entire retail location.
Learning management duties across all departments and actively participating in personnel decisions, including employee selection, training, discipline, termination, and development.
Responsible for mastering the oversight and execution of departmental expectations, including staffing, customer service, display audits, zone integrity, recovery standards, visual merchandising, stocking, replenishment standards, and merchandise guidelines.
Provides direction to the Sales team and learns daily supervisory practices to ensure exceptional customer service is prioritized in all customer interactions.
Gains knowledge in developing and implementing strategies to achieve weekly and monthly operational goals and complete assigned tasks.
This includes the development, analysis, and execution of sales, staffing, training, payroll hours, and scheduling for team members.Acquires understanding of workforce productivity, efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
Becomes adept at holding team members accountable for compliance with established sales, safety, and security practices in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Ensures completion of departmental zoning and adherence to company standards.Responsible for supervising the execution of various assignments as delegated by the Store Director.
Actively participates in store assessments with upper management and creates implementation plans based on feedback received.
Gains knowledge of auditing firearm sales in compliance with legal requirements, including completing necessary forms and conducting background checks, and signs off as the final approver.
Required to complete necessary training.Must learn, understand, and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Adheres to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules applicable to management-level employees.
Responsibilities may evolve, and other duties may be assigned as needed.
Physical Requirements & Attendance
Regularly required to communicate effectively; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for various tasks, and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
