Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support, including phone triage, medical advice, and coordination of care.
  • Assist providers in direct patient care, including recording vital signs, assisting with exams, and documenting care.
  • Enter testing results, provide RX refill requests, and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Provide nursing care to patients requiring specialized nursing skills and judgment.
  • Assist with the coordination of referrals with hospitals and participating specialists.
  • Coordinate patient and family education prior to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
