Position Overview

McFarland Clinic is seeking applications for a CMA/LPN role in our healthcare facility. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, teamwork, and the ability to deliver exceptional care to our patients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Welcoming patients and managing the room process, including assessing chief complaints, taking vital signs, and reviewing medications.
  • Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Educating patients regarding provider recommendations and instructions.
  • Conducting point-of-care tests and following up with patients.

Note: A pay differential of $2.50 is available for shifts worked on weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Certification or registration from a recognized certifying body for Medical Assistants (AAMA, ARMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NHA).
  • Possession of a valid State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Mandatory reporting training for dependent adult and child abuse.
Work Schedule

Days: Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, every other weekend from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and holidays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This position offers 30 hours per week (60 hours per pay period).

Experience

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Experience in a medical office environment.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
