Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate a forklift with foot and hand controls to stock lumber and building materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Work within established work and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  3. Load lumber and building materials into storage facilities using automated loading systems.
  4. Keep all bays stocked and neat to facilitate efficient load building processes.
  5. Build outgoing orders for lumber and building materials, loading completed orders onto delivery equipment while maintaining safe procedures and stacking methods.
  6. Empty trash receptacles as necessary.
  7. Operate bander and other facility equipment as needed.
  8. Keep staging areas clean and organized.
  9. Follow safety procedures as outlined by the company safety program and operator manual for forklift.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Forklift Operator, you will need:

  • Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
