We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Christus Health. As an RN, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working the 7PM-7AM shift. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess Patients: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs to develop effective plans of care.
  • Develop Plans of Care: Create individualized plans of care that take into account patients' unique needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Implement Plans of Care: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to implement plans of care, ensuring seamless transitions of care.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding of plans of care and treatment options.
  • Provide Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and families to promote healthy behaviors, disease management, and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Licensure/Certification: Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License required. BLS (American Heart Association) certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Experience: One year experience in nursing preferred.
