About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all mammography exams as required by physician orders, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Collaborate with physicians to assist in the performance of various studies, including needle localizations and stereotactic breast biopsies.
  • Maintain radiation exposure readings within ALARA limits, adhering to department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform quality control testing for ACR/MQSA/NJDEP, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of mammography principles and theory.
  • Provide excellent patient care, recognizing clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams and taking appropriate action to resolve them.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New Jersey licensure.
  • ARRT certified in Radiology and Mammography.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of all mammography exams, including needle localizations, stereotactic breast biopsies, ACR standards, and MQSA regulations.
