We are currently in search of a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support the Maintenance Director in executing vital upkeep tasks across our community. This role requires a foundational understanding of technical maintenance and the capability to carry out essential tasks effectively. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will assist in a diverse range of projects, including repairs and cleaning, to foster a welcoming living environment for our cherished Residents.


Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain awareness and adhere to state regulations

• Implement effective infection control and universal precautions

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Director to develop and execute maintenance programs in conjunction with relevant community departments

• Contribute to the formulation of community-specific fire safety, disaster, and evacuation protocols in line with established policies

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

• Assist in conducting monthly fire drills

• Execute all maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Director

• Perform duties such as changing light bulbs, cleaning fixtures, general repairs, plumbing, drywall touch-ups, and maintenance of laundry equipment

• Clean and polish floors and carpets

• Ensure that maintenance projects are completed efficiently and that supplies are organized and well-maintained

• Uphold a clean, neat, and safe environment for Residents, team members, and visitors

• Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by the Administrator and Director of Maintenance

• Attend and complete all required training to comply with DSS regulations

• Safeguard Resident information confidentiality and respect Resident rights and privacy


Qualifications:

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations pertaining to maintenance projects

• A broad skill set in maintenance and management

• Understanding of material costs and budget oversight

• Strong communication skills with management, colleagues, and visitors

• Clear criminal record check

• Documented TB screening

• Completion of CPR/First Aid training within the first 60 days of employment

• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record

• Demonstrate grace in task execution; work collaboratively with supervisors and show a willingness to assist colleagues

• Seek opportunities to enhance community functionality

• Apply basic management skills effectively

• Capable of fulfilling job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation
