Position Overview

Studdard Moving Group is seeking skilled logistics personnel to assist with our client relocations. The logistics specialist will be tasked with the responsibility of transporting items, ensuring safe loading and unloading, and providing exceptional service throughout the moving process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates transportation vehicles to the designated loading area and engages with clients regarding their items to be relocated.
  • Adheres to established protocols for handling goods during the packing and unpacking phases of the move.
  • Employs appropriate techniques for securing items based on their weight, type, and shipping requirements. Ensures that fragile items, artwork, and oversized objects are packed with care and labeled correctly.
  • Guides the movement of items to the transport vehicle.
  • Efficiently loads the vehicle, ensuring weight distribution and maximizing space utilization.
  • Transports items to the destination and oversees the unloading process.
  • Secures client signatures or processes payments for services rendered.
  • Assists in the removal of window frames and sets up equipment for the relocation of large items.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes all tasks as assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience and Skills

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 25lbs.
