Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing routine maintenance and repair tasks for various equipment and facilities, encompassing plumbing, electrical systems, basic carpentry, HVAC, and other essential building operations.

Supervisory Duties:
No supervisory responsibilities are included in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections to identify equipment or machinery requiring maintenance.
- Diagnose issues to ascertain necessary repair actions.
- Carry out general repairs that do not necessitate specialized skills, such as drywall repair, painting, and fixing doors and other fixtures.
- Perform regular maintenance on building systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist in the overall upkeep of the facilities.
- Execute additional related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to adhere to instructions from supervisors or experienced maintenance personnel.
- Familiarity with basic carpentry and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

Educational Background and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous related experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- On-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical capability to climb ladders, bend, or maneuver into confined spaces is necessary.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
