Job Title: Certified Surgical Scrub Technician PT

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Scrub Technician to join our team at Bluffton Okatie Surgery Center. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Scrub Technician will be responsible for preparing patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures. This includes ensuring that all necessary equipment is properly disinfected and assembled, and that patients are prepared for surgery by cleaning, shaving, and disinfecting the areas of their body that will be operated on.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment is properly disinfected and assembled
  • Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning, shaving, and disinfecting the areas of their body that will be operated on
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their status during surgery
  • Pass sterile surgical equipment to surgeons during procedures
  • Assist with the preparation and disposal of lab specimens
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous clinical experience in an Operating Room environment is desired
  • Certification in OR Technology or Surgical Technology approved by the state of SC is required unless grandfather or excluded per regulation
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Collaborative and Positive disposition towards teamwork is required
