Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to critically ill newborns in the NICU. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, implement, and evaluate care plans, ensuring effective communication with patients and families. Your role requires specialized knowledge in neonatal care and a commitment to promoting nursing professionalism and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:
* Performs comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of maternal and newborn condition and care needs
* Develops and revises individualized plans of care as indicated by assessment and patient response to treatment
* Follows the five medication rights to reduce the potential for medication errors
* Documents the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner using the appropriate tools

Requirements:
* Previous NICU experience is required
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
* Must have certification in BLS and NRP upon hire or receive all certifications within a year after hire date and maintain clinical competency during employment with ECHN in this role
