Atrium Health Charlotte seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist in the surgical suite, ensuring a safe work environment and delivering quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
  • Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse circulator in preparation of patients, assembly of supplies, instruments, equipment, and proper disposition of all specimens.
  • Perform duties according to department policy and procedure.
  • Monitor surgical supplies for sterility prior to use and ensure that supplies are used in a judicious manner.
  • Attend in-services and staff meetings, exhibiting knowledge of current department-related issues and participating in the Performance Improvement Process.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of a military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
  • Current certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
