Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant to join our team at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, as well as functioning as a medical assistant.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations for diagnosis and treatment of patients
- Function as a medical assistant, triaging patients, taking vitals, and performing point-of-care testing
- Manage patient throughput, including scheduling, film/file management, and supply inventory
- Participate in department Quality Improvement activities and equipment quality control plans
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance initiatives, including proper coding and Medical Necessity Checks
Requirements
- High School Grad or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Two-year Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of Radiologic Technology Program
- ARRT registry required, with completion within first year of employment
- Minimum 1800 clinical hours in Radiography
- 2-3 years of previous hospital or physician practice experience preferred
Certifications/Licenses
- SCRQSA Certification in Radiology
- ARRT registered, or registry eligible
- BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift
