Position Overview

Since its inception in 1996, RQC, LLC. has established itself as a prominent entity in the commercial and governmental Design-Build sector across Southern California. With a growing national footprint, our projects now extend from coast to coast. We pride ourselves on being a comprehensive Design-Build firm, managing a diverse array of projects throughout the United States, with our dedicated field operations team working on-site for each assignment. Our expertise lies in expedited projects within new commercial construction, catering to both public and private sector clients, with a significant emphasis on the Department of Defense (DoD) market.

We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Management Assistant (EPMA) to join our Field Operations team. This role is based in Pensacola, Florida, and is crucial in supporting the Electrical Project Managers (EPMs) in overseeing all electrical elements and phases of projects, from initial design through to final execution, in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. The EPMA may assist with multiple electrical projects concurrently. Priority will be given to local candidates.

Compensation: $80-100K DOE

Key Responsibilities:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is the minimum educational requirement for this role. Equivalent work experience and training may also be considered.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in Project Management across various projects and scales (specifically in Electrical scope) valued at $500,000 or more (commercial or industrial) is required.
  • At least three years of experience with a comprehensive understanding of DoD project work structures is essential.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager (or equivalent) in the electrical construction sector is required, with experience in the design-build industry being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (especially Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet tools) is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with specific software (such as McCormick, Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) is preferred.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour are required, with training available. STS certification is preferred.
  • LEED GA Credential or AP/AP+ is a plus.
