Metal Fabrication Specialist

Position Summary:
The role involves the reworking and repairing of components to meet both customer specifications and internal standards. A strong commitment to quality and thorough documentation of quality metrics at the workstation is essential. It is crucial to adhere to established work protocols and maintain safe working practices to optimize production efficiency and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow company policies regarding workplace organization, health and safety, personal hygiene, attendance, and quality assurance.
• Comply with operational guidelines and procedures.
• Quickly address any issues that arise and inform supervisors or management as necessary.
• Ensure that all quality standards are met consistently.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Conduct all activities safely, adhering to safety protocols, reporting incidents promptly, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing duties within the scope of training.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and collaborates closely with the Production department staff.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
• Proficient in various welding techniques (TIG/MIG/MAG).
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and take initiative.
• Ability to maintain a positive demeanor and work collaboratively with colleagues.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in manufacturing, particularly in the automotive sector, is preferred.
• A welding certification is advantageous.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts is necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Must be capable of standing for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more.

Shifts available include:
• 1st Shift: 6:15 AM - 2:35 PM (Monday - Friday)
• 2nd Shift: 2:35 PM - 10:55 PM (Monday - Friday)
• 3rd Shift: 10:55 PM - 6:15 AM (Sunday - Thursday)
• Team 1: 6:15 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Saturday, 4 days a week)
• Team 2: 6:15 PM - 5:00 AM (Sunday - Saturday, 4 days a week)
• Team 3: Rotating shifts (6:15 AM - 5:00 PM or 6:15 PM - 5:00 AM, Sunday - Saturday, 4 days a week)
Shift differentials apply for 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as for Team 2 and Team 3.
