Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Trademark and Domain Name Management (25%):
    Safeguard intellectual property rights through comprehensive trademark and domain name filings, renewals, and enforcement actions.
  • Trademark Development (20%):
    Conduct thorough searches and prepare reports to assess trademark availability, while educating team members on effective trademark practices.
  • Registration Oversight (10%):
    Ensure compliance with intellectual property regulations through the preparation of licensing agreements and status reports.
  • Litigation Support (10%):
    Assist in managing trademark infringement cases, including communication with legal counsel and monitoring ongoing litigation.
  • Marketing Collaboration (10%):
    Review marketing initiatives for intellectual property considerations and provide legal insights on promotional materials.
  • Patent Management (5%):
    Maintain records of company patents and relevant information.
  • Licensing Development (15%):
    Establish and oversee licensing agreements to authorize third-party use of the company's intellectual property.
  • Financial Oversight (5%):
    Manage invoicing processes and assist in tracking the intellectual property budget.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a paralegal certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in intellectual property law as a paralegal.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to propose practical solutions to legal challenges.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects independently and efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities.
