We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Staff Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Family Health Center. Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in a family practice setting, including triage, health maintenance teaching, and administration of vaccines/medication.
- Collaborate with other nursing professionals, medical assistants, and medical providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Support medical providers in the management of prescriptions and controlled substance prescriptions, as needed.
- Participate in the development of new methods of health service delivery and be flexible in adapting to changing healthcare needs.
- Deal with sensitive information in a highly confidential manner and maintain effective communication skills with patients, families, visitors, coworkers, healthcare professionals, funders, and regulatory agencies.
- Function independently with minimal supervision, plan, coordinate, and complete tasks necessary to meet job responsibilities.
- Aware of resources available within the health center to accommodate patient needs and commit to providing fiscally responsible, timely, efficient, effective, safe, patient-centered, culturally competent, equitable, and participatory healthcare.
- Precept medical assistant staff by assisting and providing direction with procedures and activities that facilitate patient-centered care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; AS or BS in nursing preferred.
- Two years of full-time professional experience or part-time equivalent required.
- Licensed as a RN by the Massachusetts State Board of Registration and BLS required.
- Bilingual in English and another language appropriate to the health center's patient population preferred, but not required.
Reports directly to the Nurse Team Leader or at Satellite Sites, reports directly to the RN Coordinator Satellite Site.
