Job Summary:

Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist - Journeyman to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in the Patuxent River area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply analytical techniques to evaluate program/project objectives and analyze requirements, status, budget, and schedules.
  • Perform management, technical, or business case analyses and collect, complete, organize, and interpret data relating to project acquisition and product programs.
  • Track program/project status, budgets, resources, and schedules, and provide support to NAVAIR.
  • Apply government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management, and data management.
  • Prepare acquisition and procurement documentation, including Justification and Approval (J&A) for sole source procurement; Individual Streamlined Acquisition Plan (ISTRAP); Statements of Work (SOW); Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) DD Form 1423-1; and Procurement Initiation Documents (PID).
  • Perform program management, financial, and technical analyses, and collate and post data to various online tools and databases.
  • Coordinate Integrated Government Schedule inputs between IPTs and schedule technicians, and coordinate inputs and perform analysis for Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE).
  • Conduct market research to support future procurement activities, and assist in the management of team-level Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Review Boards and document preparation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years relevant experience OR Associate degree and 5+ years relevant experience OR High school diploma or GED and completed military service with relevant training with 5+ years of experience OR High school diploma or GED and 5+ years relevant experience and hold a relevant technical certification.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
