We are seeking a Part-time Associate (Cashier) to join our Store Operations Team at Smart & Final Extra in La Puente, California.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a store section as assigned, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise, and ensuring proper pricing and rotation of products.
- Set up advertising and promotional displays, and review invoices for accuracy.
- Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot.
- Operate a cash register, receive payment from customers, and process refunds and transactions.
- Verify customer eligibility for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
- Offer friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, and provide them with current store and product information.
- Load customer purchases and perform basic bookkeeping duties.
- Ability to read and write English, interact with the general public and coworkers.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and product pricing codes.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 60 pounds.
- Basic PC and Outlook skills.
- Retail Management Certificate.
