Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate posting of patient payments and adjustments to patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account records
  • Process patient payments and adjustments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding account information and billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile patient accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Comprehensive knowledge of online banking systems and posting software
Working Environment

This position is located in a standard office environment and may require occasional travel between facilities.
