The Pharmacy Technician will report directly to the Pharmacy Manager and will be an integral part of our operations.

In this essential role, you will be responsible for a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications. We are committed to your professional growth through ongoing development opportunities and regular discussions about your career path.
This position requires onsite presence with alternating shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, including participation in a weekend on-call rotation.
Technicians are typically on call every 5th or 6th weekend.

Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician - Compounding, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and scheduling the preparation of sterile admixtures and home medical equipment orders with the Pharmacist's guidance.
- Performing all necessary calculations for product preparation and obtaining validation from the Pharmacist prior to compounding/mixing.
- Compounding sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, including parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration solutions, and narcotic analgesics, utilizing aseptic techniques where permitted by state regulations.
- Preparing labels, prescriptions, and compounding/mixing documentation while maintaining accurate product lot numbers, expiration dates, and batch records.
- Generating delivery and pick slips under the supervision of the Pharmacist and managing the selection of supplies and home medical equipment.
- Ensuring that compounding and clean room areas, along with related equipment, are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collecting supply inventories from patients and effectively communicating this information to the Pharmacist as necessary.
- Participating in branch management, departmental, and inter-departmental meetings, as well as quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhering to all relevant accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local, and federal regulations and standards related to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant pharmacy experience in a home care environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals in either a hospital or home infusion setting.
- General understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, calculations, drug usage, and aseptic techniques.
- Strong mathematical and communication skills are essential.
- Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
- A valid driver's license is required.

USD $27.00 / Hour
