Position: Quality Control Specialist

Role Summary: The Quality Control Specialist is accountable for conducting assessments of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products utilizing a variety of analytical tools, including HPLC. This role involves collaborating with supervisors to execute investigations into failures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing on products and raw materials.
  • Prepare necessary reagents, standard solutions, and equipment for testing.
  • Identify and report any unexpected results promptly, completing Out of Specification forms (OOS), Non-conformance Reports (NCR), and Incoming Rejection Forms (IRs) for any nonconforming or rejected materials.
  • Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the guidance of supervisors, utilizing Quality software for document management.
  • Engage in investigations related to complaints, failures, calibrations, and equipment issues.
  • Prepare media and reagents as required.
  • Perform routine testing of products and raw materials.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure laboratory equipment is monitored and maintained, including calibration tasks.

Cleaning Protocols: Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize glassware and other laboratory containers.

Qualifications: An Associate's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related technical field is required.
