Job Title: Dental Assistants

At The Dental Care Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our dentists and hygienists in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating them with proper draping.
  • Provide diagnostic information by taking x-rays and intraoral pictures.
  • Chart patient information and perform other clinical duties, including entering treatment plans and updating patient records.
  • Sterilize instruments and deliver them to treatment areas.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping sensitive information secure.
Additional Duties:
  • Login to practice programs in the morning, including emails, Dental Intel, and Lighthouse.
  • Perform a "Trust Transfer" to the Scheduling Coordinator or Treatment Coordinator.
  • Assist with cleaning and setting up treatment rooms when available.
  • Participate in the Morning Huddle by reviewing patient charts and identifying scheduling concerns, unfinished treatments, and patients who are difficult to work with.
  • Assist in asking "A" patients for referrals and reviews.
  • Build a "Trust Factor" with all patients.
  • Uncover patients' Personal Motivators.
  • Cover other areas within the practice as needed.
  • Serve as Patient Referral/Reviews Liaison.
Expectations:

Meet daily goals set for doctors, using the "Standards of Care" as a guideline for treatment required, and the Healthy Mouth Baseline as a comparison. Assist in identifying treatment required for patients and monitor results. Educate patients on conditions present, consequences of not moving forward, and treatment solutions recommended.
